The Evolution of Cheesy Pasta in French Cuisine

When you hear pasta, it reminds of being an Italian dish, while pasta origins from Italy in late 13thcentury. But at the same time, pasta remained as one of the most used traditional dish in the French cuisine. Italians prefer to make everything simple and that’s is why their pasta always remained to be a simpler version. While French people always loved to create something with a French twist, that is where infusion of cheese into pasta came into action. French tradition backs with their use of cheese in almost all of their popular dish, they have many varieties of cheese and that is why today we are offered pasta in different sauces and with different types cheese.

Pasta is a very simple dish that can be created with different pasta shapes, while the most favorite and popular pasta shape used is the penne type. With the pasta adding some white sauce, pepper, chili flakes, cream and cheese would create a well-balanced cheesy pasta.
Pasta became very common among the people because it was one of the most affordable dishes to people back at that time. A French scientist named Paul-Jacques Malouin, invented a pasta making machine back in 17thcentury due to the high demand and popularity of the dish. It was 2 men operated machine that pressed the dough in the most popular shape that is penne with less effort.
The creation pasta has evolved throughout many years with people bringing in different twist and tangles in the taste. Originally pasta used to be a simple and plain tasted dish, while today pasta is offered in more than a single sauce and with a wide variety of cheese. Nearly one-third of the population loves pasta which has become as an International and continental cuisine.
